Ishikari Nabe (石狩鍋 Salmon Trout Hot Pot)
Ingredients:
✔️Aomori salmon trout (cut into chunks)
✔️½ Napa cabbage (chopped)
✔️1 block tofu (cubed)
✔️½ carrot (sliced)
✔️stalk green onion (cut diagonally)
✔️4 shiitake mushrooms
✔️2 tbsp miso paste
✔️500ml dashi stock (or plain water + dashi powder)
✔️1 tbsp sake (optional)
✔️1 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions:
1. Bring dashi stock to a boil in a pot.
2. Add miso paste, soy sauce, and sake. Stir well.
3. Add salmon trout, tofu, carrots, mushrooms, and cabbage. Simmer 8–10 minutes.
4. Add green onion last, simmer 1–2 mins. Serve hot.

Salmon Trout Fried Rice (三文鱼炒饭)
Ingredients:
✔️Aomori salmon trout (cubed)
✔️1 bowl cooked rice (cold, leftover rice is best)
✔️1 egg
✔️1 tbsp soy sauce
✔️½ cup mixed vegetables (corn, peas, carrots)
✔️1 tsp garlic (minced)
✔️1 tbsp oil
✔️Salt and pepper to taste
✔️Butter
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic and salmon trout, cook till slightly crispy.
2. Push to side, scramble egg in the same pan.
3. Add rice and vegetables, stir-fry everything together.
4. Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and serve.
