    Cooking Guide: (Vinegared Saba Donburi)

    Ingredients:

    • Vinegared Saba
    • Cooked rice
    • Thinly sliced onions
    • Shiso leaves, thinly sliced (optional)
    • Soy sauce
    • Mirin (sweet rice wine)
    • Sugar
    • Dashi broth (optional)
    • Nori seaweed, shredded

    Instructions:

    Creating the sauce: In a small saucepan, heat soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and dashi broth (if using) over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add thinly sliced onion to the saucepan and simmer for a few minutes until the onion is tender. Set aside.

    Preparing the bowl: Place a serving of cooked Japanese rice in a bowl. Arrange vinegared Saba on top of the rice. Spoon the onion and sauce mixture over the Saba and rice.

    Serving the dish: Garnish with thinly sliced shiso leaves (if using) and shredded nori seaweed. Serve hot or at room temperature. Enjoy!
