These squids are carefully gutted and cleaned. Simply grill or BBQ and top with your favourite sauce (recommended: teriyaki / mentaiko) or stuff the tube with rice to make Ikameshi!

Squid Or Octopus イカのガーリックソテー

Calamari in garlic


Ingredients for 6 servings

1.4kg squid / 175g butter / 6 cloves of garlic , crushed / 3 tbs chopped parsley / 

grated zest of 1 large lemon / juice of 1 large lemon / salt and ground black pepper


Preparation Method

1. To clean the squid: pull out the head and entrails, remove backbone and outer skin (if any).

Rinse body and dry.

Cut body in half lengthways

Cut off tentacles and reserve.

2. In a large frying-pan, melt the butter until bubbling and add the garlic.

Fry the squid quickly for about 3 minutes and turn ones.

3. Add the parsley, lemon zest and juice.

Season with salt and pepper.

Tip the squid carefully onto a serving dish and serve at once.

イカ 1.4KG / バター 175g / にんにく 6片 (つぶしておく)

パセリ 大匙3 (刻んだもの) / レモンの皮 1個分 (すりおろす)

レモン汁 1個分 / 塩、粗挽き黒胡椒



1. イカをきれいにする。 頭部と内臓を引っ張り出し、背骨と外側の皮を取る。



2. 大きめのフライパンに、バターを入れ、泡がでてくるまで温め、



3. パセリ、レモンの皮と、レモン汁を加え、塩胡椒する。
