Cooking Guide: (Halibut steak with lemon Butter sauce!)

Ingredients:

For the Halibut Steak:

  • 2 Greenland halibut steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking

For the Lemon Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon capers, drained (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Halibut Steaks: Pat the halibut steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the Halibut Steaks: Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the skillet is hot, add the halibut steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the steaks, until golden brown and cooked through. The fish should easily flake with a fork when done. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Make the Lemon Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. Finish the Lemon Butter Sauce: Stir in the lemon juice and capers (if using). Cook for another minute, allowing the flavors to meld together. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

  5. Serve: Place the cooked halibut steaks on plates or a serving platter. Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the steaks. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
